SODposten is presenting sustainable solutions in 2040, through cross connections and system-oriented design.
SODposten is a magazine published in 2021. It is a result of connecting six projects in the course of System-Oriented Design. An eight-weeks long, complex and digital teamwork between 30 students and four teachers.
The student teams did research within the topics of Regenerative land management‭, ‬Food and fibre production‭, ‬Coastal food and fibre production‭, ‬Local industry‭, ‬District politics and Rural culture and tourism‭.
> As editors our task was to compile the result in to a magazine called SODposten.

The publication team aimed at creating a holistic experience and visual identity, and a capturing narrative.
The storyline and content is speaking in the present of 2040, looking back at the year 2020. The magazine is owned by the made up government agency called "The Sustainability Taskforce". All the content is a result of random samples made back in 2020, that has been conducted on interventions in Trøndelag. "The Sustainability Taskforce" puts the reader in the context of a changed future. This allows a notion that change has already taken place.
As system oriented design seeks for connections, we wanted this to be reflected in the visual identity. Pixels, fragments and parts of each projects are intertwined with the colours of green and purple.
We also added an interactive part with QR-codes, to deeper the experience for the reader. The QR-codes give access to final presentations and more in-depth information within different topics.
