Brief / create a desk set that utilizes wood, metal and plastic.
A minimalistic desk organizer. Aimed towards a user who uses the living room as a working space and therefore desires something that doesnt give office associations.
Down to earth, and elegant in a masculine way.
The form on the metal and plastic storage boxes are identical and symmetrical, which creates a feeling of calm. Both are following the curve of the main wood form.
Storage for pencils, erasers and other small components the user wish to keep in one place, or out of sight.
The main piece is made by laminating plywood with a thin layer of oak on the surface. It's purpose is to hide the storage below. The user can also store papers and letters on top of the subtle curve.

Introduction to workshop methods and user-centered analysis. The design was design towards one single user. After interview I did 3B-analysis, requirements specification and sequence analysis to map out user needs and preferences.

Mockups in real scale to get the right proportions and radius on the curve. Sketches was made both from perspective of cut and folded out - to see components.
